Shallow or high standards???

Today i was on the phone with my friend ordering King Taco when this guys starts staring at me (I didn't look his way but I could feel his eyes burning a man size hole in my damn face). He says Hi and said your beautiful Mind you I'm sick and I have on a ashy ass black tee with some over sized jeans (because I'm losing weight) my crusty ass new balances my Fedora with my hair in a bun with my edges all twisted up because I was trying to make them look "less nappy". That took me aback because I look horrible no where near beautiful, yet he looked at me and saw past my crusty ass clothes and snotty nose. So I thank him and he asks who I'm on the phone with...and what does my dumb ass say MY BOYFRIEND knowing good and damn well I don't have a boyfriend. I'm as single as a one dollar bill (ha). The point I'm trying to make is why is it that every time a guy tries to talk to me or shows interest I always hit em with the line "oh I have a boyfriend". Could I be really that shallow or have standards that high??? Since I've been typing I been thinking and that's not the case. I think I'm afraid to get my heart broke, I think too much about what others think, I'm scared to let myself to be happy, Hell, I even feel like I don't deserve to be happy or have some one that loves me :-(

I live for the WEEKENDS

This weekend was none stop fun starting from Friday. Friday was my friend Brandi's birthday. She got a party bus the size of a chartered bus. Now, I normally don't say terms like "turnt up" or it was "On" but it was Turnt up and On lol OMG it was soooooo much fun!!! We didn't get back to Gardena til like 3:30. Saturday was a rest day for me lol. Sunday Chanel Chase and I went to Six Flags for fright fest. That was the best time EVER! The longest wait time was an Hour the shortest was like 30 seconds lol October has Started of GREAT!

From Ca to Va and Back

Chello!! Last week I took a week long Vacation to Virginia to go to my friend Brandon's wedding (which I didn't get to see because I was LATE. I refused to walk in late so I just went to the reception) and also to visit the people I most care about. I had a great time besides getting ate up by mosquito's and spiders. I saw my favorite people that I know will have my back no matter what Stephanie, Sylvette, and Kelleigh (I absolutely love these girls withe the bottom of my heart). Ha, I attempted to go to DC and see the MLK memorial but my Ls's (Shari, and Kelz) and I got lost and just decided to eff it. I had a blast for the most part. I couldn't live in Va but it's a great place to visit and relax.

Recently a guy that I use to be in love with talk to in college (the one that I could have spent forever with) told me that I was afraid of LOVE No one has ever told me that. When I read that text my heart dropped and I couldn't do anything but admit that it was true. I know I have commitment issues,but being afraid of love? That's the one thing I've always wanted experienced. I know that Anytime a guys starts to show me his feelings I push him away. What happened in my life that mad me not want to be swept off my feet and fall in love?? All I know is this go round (since all of a sudden everybody wants to like Tamika) I'm going to make it a point to let my guard down and fall in love....

After she performed she dropped the mic and open her jacket to show off her cute little baby bump! Jay and Kanye were in the audience cheering and crackin a big smile!!!! I fricken LOVE them!!! FYI: Kanye is my Bff too lol. (IMO Bey and Jay did it the right way dated, marriage, enjoyed each other, then BABY)



Lately

Lately, I've been thinking about moving out of state to New York, DC, or Atlanta. As bad as I want to move it's one thing holding me back...my grandma! I don't want to move and have to come back home for the unthinkable (her passing away). I know I shouldn't put my life on hold but I need to do what's right for me. What would you do? Do you think I should just move and visit often? Or just stay in California, because all my family is here???? Help!!!!

My Grandpa

August 19, 2002 is the day my world turned upside down for the 1st time. I never had a death in my family that hit so close to home. This day NINE years ago is the day my grandpa died and left me. I know it sounds selfish to say "he left me" but he did. He was the man who cared for me took me to school every morning, took me on countless trips, and gave me love that my real father couldn't give. We shared a special bond cause...I was his little girl...almost like his younger child. He taught me so many things. I love you grandpa!!! You'll always be in my heart. I'll never forget all the great things you did for me, all the love you gave me, and all the great memories we share. I know I'll see you one day and I know your shinning down on me from heaven!  August 19, 2002 is the day that Caner took him away from me (tears).

Go Chase it's ya Birthday!

This Saturday my friends and I celebrated my BFF (of forever and a day) 25th Birthday! Champagne and Chokolate cupcakes (courtesy of Over The Top Cupcakes), Pumps, tight dress and skirt, the new and improved Nu Nu drink made the night extra grand. We started out night off with meeting at Chase's humble abode. There we listened to music, took pic's and drank out secret mixture of our new and improved Nu Nu drink. Later that night off to the club we went...La Vito. There we Partied Partied Partied til we all got WASTED!!!! We rang in Chase 25th birthday with Good Music, Good Drinks, and GREAT FRIENDS!!! That made her night super special !!!!

The Fear of Failing

Lately I've been thinking about my life, why certain things are the way they are. I 've come to the conclusion that I have a fear of FAILING. It's not an uncommon fear for people to have, I got it bad. I let myself stay in the same situation for so long that I'm scared to change it. I'm 26 years old and not getting any younger. I need to "Take Chances and Get Messy" as Miss Frizzle from the Magic School Bus would say. I'm scared that if I get a better job I won't be able to do it. I always doubt my intelligence. I'm scared to move out of California because I don't want anything to happen to my grandma while I'm gone. I can't keep putting my life on hold. I purposely put up a wall because I don't want to let people in to break my heart. Enough is Enough, I can't let not wanting to fail get the best of me. Failing is apart of life and If you don't Fail you'll never know the joy of succeeding.

30 day challange

After reading about Necole Bitchie's 30 day dress/skirt challenge on her personal blog Iamnecole. I've decided that I'm going to try to do it myself.  I'm not a skirt or dress person....I love jeans! I like knowing that I could hop a fence and all of my business won't be out lol. So, since I barely wear dresses/ skirts for the next 30 days that's all I'm going to wear o_O. Oh and Short's will fall in that dress/ skirt category also. I'm going to post pick of myself too so everyone will see that I'm really doing it! Wish me LUCK!

Throw Back Thursday

Today's Throw back Artist is Imajin. Even though they didn't make it big (IDKY) they were a talented group of boys! The group consisted of Olamide who played guitar, John who played the bass guitar, Talib on the Keyboard and Jamal on the Drums. The group only had one album (which I have and still bump in my car) self titled Imajin.

As many times as I've been to Vegas this was by far THEE best time ever! If I told you all the great thing's I experienced you probably wouldn't believe me. I'm going to tell you anyway, plus i got the pictures to back it up!

Saturday: The trip kinda started off whack. Our plane was delayed for an Hr. Our original arrival time was 5:10 but we ended up getting to Vegas at 6:10. We went to Tryst in The Wynn (no cover fee) We had a ball. I think we had more fun after the club taking pictures lol

Sunday: We met up with Dru's friends at Caesar's Palace. They had a super nice suite! Later that night we went to Pure night club there. We got a FREE table and Bottle service!!

Monday:  Monday (the 4th of July) we walked the strip and watched the fire works and later that night we went to Club marquee in the Cosmopolitan! This was by far the best day EVER! Bottle service with Dom, Cristal, Goose, Patron and GREAT company!

 

Tuesday: This was suppose to be our last day but thanks to our new friends who paid for us to stay.

So much fun... wish I could rewind back time and relive some of these moments again!
